I was taken to Cairns Hospital A & E yesterday. They were very busy but all patients were treated with respect by all staff. The Doctors & nurses explained what procedures were required with excellent bedside manner. Thank you to a wardie named Peter for his help also.

I have to say, Cairns Hospital has been the best hospital I've ever been too(and I've been to many). The staff are the friendliest, most understanding staff who genuinely care about their patients. Regardless of what is wrong, you are still cared for to the same standards, even if you end up being fine. They have never made me feel stupid for going into the hospital. These recent health issues would have been 100x worse if it wasn't for the amazing care I have and will continue to receive. You just have to read all these reviews and you will see a lot of positive reviews from so many others who feel the same. So grateful for their care, especially the gynecological team! For a topic that can be quite personal, sensitive, embarrassing and scary, they make you feel so so comfortable and safe. ❤️

On behalf of my mothers experience I would like to express my gratitude for the care and personal warmth conveyed by all involved in aid of her recovery. My family are indigenous residents of Parramatta district and are accustomed to the likes of Westmead hospitality. Mum has spent many moons within the system and I have never heard her so appreciative and comfortable. The nurses, food and local hospitality have been exceptionally delivered and well received. Even the patient's and families have kept her cheery with their fraternity and goodwill. Being injured and losing your independency is horrible but shit happens. The system is the problem if we need to blame bad practice, but dont blame others that actually care. Please remember that the hospitals get us at our worst and are not to blame. We are all human and even hospital staff have personal lives outside. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors and it's the same for everyone.... so the next time when your feeling down and someone smiles at you. . . . take a second to remember 'not everyone that is nice, has a reason to be'....!!!!!

From the moment we arrived in Emergency department of the Cairns Hospital to the ICU at the Cardiac ward , the staff went above and beyond to ensure my brother's comfort and well-being. Their dedication, expertise, and genuine kindness were evident in every interaction, providing us with the peace of mind we needed during a challenging time. We are truly grateful for the exceptional care we received and absolutely grateful 🙏🥰"

Went to the pediatric emergency room with my son and the nurse Sarah and Dr Green was just so lovely from the get go. Sarah offered my husband and I food considering that we have had a hard time with our son and was so great caring for our little one. So accommodating and reassuring.

I entered the Cairns Hospital for a bloody knee likely caused by hiking while on blood thinners. I am a Canadian doctor travelling from Toronto. Everyone was kind and patient from triage to discharge. As one who has worked in hospital care, I can tell you my experience was wonderful. Special thanks to Drs. Rosie, Justin and Renee.

I just wanted to praise the Nurse I saw today at the Cairns Hospital. Christopher Hawkins - he was so educated, so nice to deal with and just had this really trusting feeling about him. Wish we had more nurses like that in the world. You can tell he really cares about his patients. I presented with a sprained coccyx after having a nasty slip in my kitchen but also want to shout out all of the staff, they were all genuinely nice. Thank you again Nurse Chris for helping me today.

Dudes!!!!! This hospital and EVERYONE in here are seriously unbelievable. Last Wednesday morning at 5am l arrived here by ambulance, from my apartment, coughing up blood, and unable to breathe. In A and E , although they were obviously getting smashed, l was given oxygen, having real problems breathing, and a young team diagnosed that l had a strange virus on my lungs after a quick X-ray , and fluid on my lungs. I’m a tour coach driver. I was quickly admitted in a serious but stable condition. Then the Respiratory Team admitted me to my own room in isolation as the virus was a strange one. For 3 more days l was cared for like royalty. Super caring lovely staff, even the cleaners. Now in the last few days I’ve had genuine tests done on my my lungs and with deep needles taking tissue samples, and a lung camera. I’m only a public patient, and 71 year old aged pensioner, and NON smoker or drinker. These people from the specialist doctors and down to the cleaning team bring a tear to my eye!!! They must ALL GO TO HEAVEN !!!!!!!! I truly love you ALL !!!!!!…….DUDES!!!! Another bout in the Respiratory ward and again being treated like royalty , getting discharged tomorrow, with a final diagnosis re possible lung cancer in 7-10 days! If this in the USA l would have to SELL MY CAR to pay for it!!!!!!! Be grateful DUDES !!!!
